Christmas Markets
Romania legendary home of Count Dracula is a fascinating country of contrasts.
The Transylvanian based Dracula vampire tales couldn't be more diametrically opposed to the Christmas markets theme and yet the two co-exist close by in the shape of the Sibiu Christmas market which has been established since 2007.
Surprisingly, there are no markets in the capital Bucharest. Maybe in future years Bucharest will decide to emulate the lesser known town of Sibiu and hold their own market.
