Oxford Christmas Market
The Oxford Christmas Market is a German-style Christmas Market which takes place in the heart of the city at Oxford Castle from 26 Nov – 12 December 2010 and includes beautifully decorated wooden stalls offering wonderful Christmas gifts, Glühwein, gingerbread, German Bratwurst - to name just a few. Local choirs and brass bands will perform Christmas carols throughout the 17 days, adding to the festive atmosphere, and a small Victorian carousel will delight the children. And Father Christmas is to visit the Christmas Market over the weekends.

Went to Oxford`s Christmas Market in December and loved it there! Easy access from the train station, and awesome location right in the middle of Oxford`s castle and (ex)prison. Really loved the German-style wooden booths, and was impressed with quality of (handmade) goods on offer. Hope it will be even bigger this year and am planning to spend a few evenings there with Gluwein and gingerbread!
