Hyde Park’s Winter Wonderland

Meet with family, friends or colleagues in Hyde Park this Christmas and celebrate at London’s Winter Wonderland.

• German style Christmas Market – app. 40 wooden chalets will be situated around the bandstand area on Serpentine Road selling festive goods and culinary specialities that will appeal to all ages

• Visit the traditional German style Christmas Market and enjoy the festive atmosphere with a glass of “Glühwein” (German Mulled Wine) and other seasonal culinary specialities. The typical German Sausage “Bratwurst” does not need an introduction, gingerbread hearts for your loved ones, roasted almonds and candies to taste the “sweet side of life” or a delicious crepe.

• Europe’s largest outdoor Ice Rink / 20m x 70m – capacity of up to 400 skaters per hour

• A big wheel offering views across the park and London

• Santa will be appearing

• High quality fairground attractions to include a Carousel, Helter Skelter, Haunted House, and ‘Kiddies’ ride

• Snowtube slide

• Snow ball bungy, etc.

The opening hours of the Christmas Market at Hyde Park’s Winter Wonderland are 10am – 10pm. Xmas-Markets Ltd. will be happy to welcome you. In case you have any further questions about the Christmas Market or the Winter Wonderland event, please do not hesitate to contact us: www.xmas-markets.com

I VISITED HYDE PARK MARKET LAST YEAR AND FOUND IT REALLY LOVELY AND A REALLY CENTRAL LOCATION. LOVELY WOODEN HUTS AND TERRIFIC ATTRACTIONS INCLUDING A MASSIVE FIRST CLASS SKATING RINK. THE ATMAOSPHERE WAS GOOD AS THE DAY WENT ON AND THE AROMAS WERE LOVELY. I WASNT TOO KEEN ON THE GOODS FOR SALE BUT A LOVELY SET UP AND A WONDERFUL CHRISTMAS EXPERIENCE FOR KIDS. VERY NICE. Wasn't sure what to expect when we arrived at the Winter Wonderland. However, you could see the ferris wheel from across Hyde Park which is probably the best advertisement for a good time you can have. Didn't realise there was actually a market (German themed, btw) until we got there. The whole place felt like a Christmas/German themed amusement park, complete with rides, food stalls and shacks selling various Christmas trinkets. I can't wait to go again this year. Bring on the ferris wheel rides, glüwine and bratwurst!

I visited this market last year with my girlfriend and two friend; all of us are young adults. The atmosphere was great, and getting to the location was very easy as the tube station was just across the road. I felt that the goods for sale however were, in my opinion, were a bit tacky and not something I would buy for friends of my age group, or family. There was plenty to do as there was an Ice Rink (however booking in advance is recommended), a large big wheel ride (which I found a bit pointless as The London Eye is down the road) and other funfair attractions. Overall it was a good day out, as we visited a near by attraction, The London Dungeon.
