Enjoy a wonderful experience for the whole family and travel back in time to days of old. On the weekend of 12th and 14th December you can experience the sights, sounds and smells of a town and castle preparing for Christmas. Listen to seasonal music and laugh at the hilarious frolics of the ‘Castle Jester’.   Browse Caerphilly’s medieval market, which takes place within the confines of the castle, and visit over 22 stalls selling replica medieval goods and traditional crafts, together with an offering of medieval acts and entertainment will entertain the whole family . 

A variety of Christmas activities will take place in and around the Twyn Community Centre where food lovers can browse the food and craft fayre.  The continental and farmers market , comprising over 90 stalls, will be bursting with seasonal goodies to make those Christmas presents and fare just that little bit unusual. Children will enjoy the fairground rides, the medieval jesters and a visit to Santa at the visitor centre. Christmas music will be provided by brass bands plus lots more. Town market trading Saturday & Sunday -  9 am – 5pm. 

Caerphilly's Medieval Christmas Market is also host to an exciting Christmas themed Treasure Hunt. Visitors to the event or people just passing through the town during the weekend will have the opportunity to take part in a FREE family treasure hunt around the town centre.

Although entry to Caerphilly Medieval Market is free, visitors will need to pay an admission charge to visit the Castle which opens 9.30 – 6pm Saturday; 11 – 4pm Sunday. Adults £3.50; Reduced £3.00; Family £10.00. All enquiries 029 20 880011
