•ProsMy husband and I went to the St Nicholas Fayre last year. There was a good selection of stalls; providing lots of ideas for Christmas gifts and goodies to eat. We particularly liked the tree decorations that were personalised with names of individuals or families. Well worth a visit. Arrive early as it gets very busy quite quickly and can be difficult to see all that is on offer.

•ProsI love coming to York at Christmas. The atmosphere is truly wonderful and there is magic in the air. York is so easy to get about and everything is within walking distance. With the park & ride, which is really efficient it is so easy to get into York. The markets, shambles and shops are full of wonderful gifts, food and the atmosphere is so exciting. There is music playing as you go making it feel very Christmassy. There is even a Christmas shop!!
